Braylon Edwards continues to run his mouth!!

Our beloved ex-Brown WR, Braylon "Dropsies" Edwards  just can't shut up. Once again he he raises his chances of overtaking Deion Sanders as 'The Biggest Mouth in the NFL".

This time he said:

"I've got to go on record and thank Eric Mangini for giving me the chance to be a part of Coach Rex. I've never in my life been a part of anything like this. I'm ecstatic. Words can't really describe how I feel. I feel as though we have the ability to go all the way."

And I personally agree with him. Thank you Coach Mangini for getting rid of this cretin.

Don't you have any dignity?? You were thrown out of Cleveland because you were major distraction and primarily because you couldn't catch a cold, much less a football.

If anything you should be apologizing to Mangini, your ex-Teammates, and the fans of the Cleveland Browns you dingus.

Mangini didn't "release" you to give you an opportunity to be a better player. He got rid of you because the only thing you were good for was taking up a defender, moron. You were a high paid decoy.

Actually, you were a over-paid decoy with a big mouth and no sense. That's all you were....

New QB Rumor

The first rumor of the season concerning a new QB coming to Cleveland was that of Matt Hasselbeck. The rumor came in conjunction with the hiring of Mike Holgrem, and the belief that Holgrem will want to change the offensive philosophy to a West Coast style, or a variant thereof.

This rumor carries a little weight, considering Holgrem coached Hasselbeck in Seattle, and according to news sources in Seattle that there is a real possibility of Hasselbeck getting traded or cut either this off-season, or latest after the 2010 season.

Now that Philadelphia GM, Tom Heckert has been hired to do the same job in Cleveland, new rumors are starting to surface on the web.

Some rather interesting ones at that......

The newest rumor is that now Michael Vick is in Philadelphia and is possible heir apparent to Donovan McNabb, that Tom Heckert will try to bring 3rd year QB Kevin Kolb with him to Cleveland.

I too raised an eyebrow when I read these little tidbits.....

Offensive Coordinator Change in Cleveland??

Even though Eric Mangini remains HC going into 2010, you have to wonder if Holgrem will allow him to keep all of his coaching staff.

The first change to come to mind would be that of OC Brian Daboll.

I personally think Daboll deserves another chance to show what he can do. His utilization of Harrison towards the end of the season was nothing short of amazing. Imagine what he could have done if he had an accurate QB, WR's who knew how to run their routes, and a stable TE.

That of course is pure speculation........

Now that we know offensive minded Mike Holgrem wants to run a West Coast style Offense, or a variant thereof, one has to wonder if Daboll will retain his job.

Especially since Jim Zorn is jobless at the moment, and with the rising rumor of Matt Hasselbeck being released from Seattle.

It sounds almost too good to be true.

An Apology

I know it's been a really long time since I posted anything in my blog. The main reason is because I not only got married, but I also moved to Germany. The move, the honeymoon and the paperwork all took more time than I thought it would, and I barely had anytime for myself, let alone write anything about my beloved Browns. But now I'm back, and hopefully I'll be able to continue writing my thoughts and observations for all who care to read them.

Thank you for your understanding,

Evan
