New Coach and GM playing it smart by not listening to fans

The more I hear about Mangini and Kokinis, the more I like them. They're not doing anything that any of the Cleveland fans want them to do.
They might be on to something.
I'm personally not convinced that DA or Quinn is the Browns QB of the future.
Maybe they aren't either.
I'm not sure if DA can improve with proper coaching, and I haven't seen enough of Quinn to say he'll be any better. In fact, the more I hear everyone say Quinn's the undisputed future of the franchise, the more worried I get.
So far since The Return the fans (myself included) have been completely and utterly wrong about who they think the QB should be. They haven't hit it once on the head. Not once! Dead wrong every single time.
And the problem with the organization is they listen to fans. Trent Dilfer made that statement in an interview last year.
Quote: “As an organization, from the very, very, very top down, they are very influenced by public opinion.”
And Dilfer is right. We booed Couch and cheered for Holcomb to come in and what happened?
FAIL!!!
Then we booed Dilfer in favor of Frye! They replaced him.....
Again....FAIL!!!
Then we boo'd Frye for Anderson!!! They replaced him and.....
........ now we're booing Anderson for Quinn, who so far seriously hasn't shown anything to make me believe he's going to be any better than Kelly Holcomb.
Anything else is wishful thinking and denial.
And we were so sure that each guy was "The Answer", "The Savior" of the Cleveland Browns. Yeah, like that's really gonna happen when you have a suck defense year end and year out. But it's not the defenses fault we lose. It's the Quarterbacks.
And as far as our (the fans) track record goes, if we really want Quinn to succeed then we better keep our collective mouths shut, because so far we (the fans) have been completely and utterly wrong about who the Quarterback should be.
And that's what I'm loving about Mangini and Kokinis. They don't care what we think, or the media for that matter.
They got a job to do and they're going to do it how they think it should be done and could care less what our opinions are. And they got it right. We're just fans and the last time they checked they're the experts. Why should they care what we think. We're not football scouts or player/personnel experts. We're only fans. Just fans. And I think they both saw what happened to the Browns when the organization gave in to what the fans wanted.
FAIL!!!
MAJOR FAIL!!!
I believe that Mangini and Kokinis don't want that to happen on their watch. They have 10 years to look back and see how "not" to run the Browns organization. They have a great example of "what not to do", so therefore logically their success rate should be better than anyone since The Return. And when you start off with by not making the same mistakes as your predecessors, your off to a good start in my book.
I think Mangini and Kokinis have a plan in place, and I think it doesn't include a quick or temporary fix in the Free Agency market. As far as I can tell is they're trying to get quality depth in FA, and are going to draft for the future. And I wouldn't be surprised if we get a few unexpected trade deals come draft day.
Unfortunately for us that means we're more than likely entering another rebuilding year.
But maybe, just maybe they see we have enough pieces in place that through the draft and a few trades they have something they can work with and surprise us all. If you do recall, in 2005 as a rookie Head Coach, Mangini took a 4-12 New York Jets and went 10-6 in 2006 and a Wildcard Playoff appearance to boot. Chad Pennington was named Comeback Player of the Year that season.
So perhaps we should just give him and Kokinis a chance to show us they know what they're doing.
And if they're smart, they won't listen to what we have to say.
